What services do D&G Design offer?
As detailed on our website, we are property renovators and work with a fantastic team of tradespeople including electricians, plumbers, flooring fitters, tilers, window and door suppliers, furniture suppliers, carpenters, lighting specialists, homeware suppliers, painters and decorators.
We can fit and install bathrooms, kitchens, point and repair stonework, restore fireplaces, clean and repair flooring, create and install ironworks, remodel or remove partition walls or structures, redesign and tile roof terraces, replastering works, render works, lay flooring, restore and repair period features, together with offering a full interior design service including rendered drawings, sourcing furniture, materials and implementation of schemes. Basically, anything that doesn’t involve erecting scaffolding! See more about what we do.
Is D&G Design a building company?
No. We do not take on full scale building works ourselves, however we know a number of professional building companies that deal with restoration/restructuring/demolition/rebuilding projects who we can put clients in touch with. We tend to work alongside building companies in providing our side of the project, see above for more.
Which regions of Italy does D&G Design work in?
We work solely in Le Marche, and regret that we cannot carry out works in other Italian regions, or recommend any companies or businesses who offer similar services.
Can D&G Design project manage my home restoration?
Only projects in which we are directly involved in.
If you have arranged your own renovations independently from us, we recommend that our Geometra oversees large projects and will deal directly with you on these matters. We also strongly advise using the services of a lawyer who can translate all documents and contracts for you prior to any full scale works commencing.
Does D&G Design assist with finding houses for clients?
No. As we are not estate agents, we are unable to provide this service. We have also found that travelling the entire region searching for homes takes a considerable amount of time, and we would have to carry this work out unpaid.
The best way to find a home in Le Marche, discover the region, and gain legal and professional advice is to attend one of our Move to Italy events which we hold every year.
Can D&G Design give advice on renovation laws, planning permission and Italian building regulations?
Due to the high number of enquiries we receive from people asking for advice, we regret that we cannot answer all questions. We are usually very busy working on renovation projects to take time out. We suggest that, once you have found a home that looks suitable for your requirements, that we send our Geometra to view it for you, and provide you with a Pre Purchase Survey that lists the works involved, together with estimated costs, as well as advice on what the local authorities will or will not permit.
How much do renovations usually cost in Italy?
This is a question that we are asked countless times, so we have written an article that covers this.
