TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully, as they form your part of the contract with D&G Design when booking and attending the Move to Italy Retreat.
By submitting the booking form and ticking the acceptance box, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Your Reservation
To book your place on our Move to Italy Retreat, please complete the booking form.

Your place is confirmed once:
– the booking form has been submitted, and
– the required deposit has been received
– Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Payment Details and Cancellation Policy
All payments must be made by bank transfer in Euros.
Bookings require a deposit to secure your place. Due to planning and logistics, this deposit is non-refundable.
Please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance that covers you in the event that you may need to cancel your trip, particularly cover for flights.

Payment deadlines are as follows:
– Full balance will be due on or before 1 March 2026
– For bookings made after 1 March 2026, full payment is required at the time of booking

Cancellation terms:
– Cancellations made before 1 March 2026 will result in loss of deposit
– Cancellations made after 1 March 2026 are non-refundable
– If balance payment is not made by 1 March 2026, D&G Design reserves the right to cancel the booking and full cancellation charges will apply

3. Cancellations Made by Us
In the event that we need to cancel the Move to Italy Retreat, a full refund of payments made to D&G Design will be given.

However, we are not responsible for:
– travel costs
– flights
– accommodation booked independently
– insurance costs
– or other personal expenses

We reserve the right to cancel the retreat if:
– minimum participant numbers are not met
– safety concerns arise
– unforeseen circumstances occur

Participants will be informed as soon as reasonably possible.

4. Programme and Itinerary
The retreat programme is designed to provide guidance, education, and introductions to professionals and services involved in buying, renovating, and living in Italy.

However, the following may change where necessary:
– property visits
– speakers
– professionals
– locations
– schedule
– transport arrangements

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the programme where required due to availability, safety, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
We will always aim to provide an experience of equal value and relevance.

5. Travel and Insurance
We believe that it is essential to take out comprehensive travel insurance for all trips and strongly recommend that you do so in your own interests and those of your party.

Your travel insurance should provide cover for:
– cancellation
– medical treatment
– personal belongings
– travel disruption

Please ensure that your insurance cover is in place from the date you book the retreat until the date you return home.

Participants are responsible for:
– arranging their own travel
– ensuring passport and visa requirements are met
– complying with any entry requirements

6. Health and Safety
Participants are responsible for taking reasonable care of their own health and safety during the retreat.

Activities may include:
– walking through villages and towns
– visiting properties
– travelling between locations
– entering buildings under renovation or construction

Some environments may involve:
– uneven surfaces
– steps
– rural terrain
– construction areas
– Participants should:
– wear suitable footwear
– follow safety instructions
– inform us of any medical conditions that may affect participation

7. Liability
Participation in the retreat is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, D&G Design is not liable for:
– personal injury
– illness
– accidents
– loss or damage to personal belongings
– travel disruption
– decisions made by participants following the retreat

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

8. Advice and Professional Introductions
Information provided during the retreat is intended for:
– general guidance
– educational purposes
– sharing personal experience

It does not constitute:
– legal advice
– financial advice
– tax advice
– investment advice
– property purchase guarantees

Participants are responsible for obtaining independent professional advice before making any property or financial decisions.

We may introduce participants to:
– estate agents
– lawyers
– surveyors
– builders
– or other professionals

However, we are not responsible for the services provided by those professionals.

9. Special Requests
Any special request must be advised in writing well in advance of departure if it was not already stated on your original booking form or at the time of booking.
We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate special requests.

However:
– all special requests are subject to availability
– confirmation that a request has been noted does not guarantee that it will be met
– we do not accept conditional bookings

Participants will not be entitled to cancel without paying normal cancellation charges if we are unable to meet a special request.

10. Behaviour
We aim to create a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants.

We reserve the right to remove any participant from the retreat without refund if their behaviour is:
– disruptive
– unsafe
– disrespectful
– or inappropriate

11. Photography and Media
Photographs and video may be taken during the retreat.

These may be used for:
– marketing
– social media
– website content
– promotional materials

If a participant prefers not to appear in photographs or video, they should inform us before the retreat begins.

12. Force Majeure
We regret we cannot accept liability or pay compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by events beyond our control.

These events may include, but are not limited to:
– natural disasters
– adverse weather
– flooding
– fire
– war
– civil unrest
– terrorism
– industrial disputes
– transport disruption
– pandemics
– government restrictions
– or similar events outside our control
