A Tour of Numana on Italy’s Conero Coast
An old fishing village, Numana is one of the most unique and pretty towns on Italy’s Adriatic Coast. With its historic centre located at the top of weaving colourful walkways, Numana’s main piazza overlooks the Adriatic Sea and is reminiscent of a coastal Mexican or Spanish town.
Awarded the European Blue Flag for its white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and unique scenery, Numana differs from its neighbouring towns on Le Marche’s Conero Coast and offers an abundance of beaches with water sports including windsurfing, canoeing, sailing and kitesurfing.
Retrace fishermen’s footsteps by climbing the “Costarella”, an ancient staircase that fishermen once used every morning at dawn, that leads down to the town’s main harbour, a modern and lively area with plenty of nightclubs and bars to spend your summer evenings.
